Vigilance awareness week is celebrated from 31^st Oct to 6^th Nov every year which coincides with the birthday of Sardar Vallabhai Patel the "Iron Man" of India whose life is an example of dedicated patriotism, strength of character and role model of integrity in public life and able administration.

Visits to  SSI Units by Central Excise Officers:

Visits of Central Excise  Officers to SSI Unit  are restricted.  The officers visiting the premises of SSI Units are required to do so only after obtaining specific permission  from Asst/Deputy Commissioners   having jurisdiction over the unit.  The officers are also required to make entries in the Visitor’s Book maintained by  the units.  In case of any complaint in this regard, the same can be reported to the concerned authorities.
