Pune-III Commissionerate is carved out
of earlier Pune-I Commissionerate and
Solapur Division of Pune-II
Commisisonerate. Pune-III Commr’te
has
started functioning from 1st
Nov. 2002.
During the year 2001-02 considering
the jurisdiction of Pune-III Commr’te
revenue of Rs.1765.80 crores was
collected as Central Excise duties.
The headquarters of Pune III
Commissionerate is located in Pune.
Pune-III Commissionerate has a
jurisdiction spread over
some of the areas of Pune city and Pune
district
and entire Solapur District in Maharashtra state.
It has a concentration of units
involved in sales of petroleum
products and manufacturing of
automobiles, engineering goods, Soft
Drink concentrates etc. Largest
revenue paying units are
HINDUSTAN PETROLEUM CORPORATION LTD., COCA COLA
INDIA, BILT GRAPHIC PAPERS, BRITCO
FOODS, CUMMINS INDIA, KIRLOSKAR OIL
ENGINES, BHARAT FORGE, INDIAN SEAMLESS
STEELS LTD. etc.

in Pune-III Commissionerate each
headed by a Assistant / Deputy
Commissioner. The offices of Division
